Civilian Residential Fire Fatality Notices For the week of December 27, 2015 - January 2, 2016 Map view of past week's  media reports on civilian residential fire fatalities   Interactive map view Weekly compilation of media reports on civilian residential fire fatalities Civilian deaths: Number of fatalities: 51 Number of states with fatalities: 23 Total number of incidents: 44 Demographic breakdown: Male: 23 Female : 23 Gender unreported: 5 Over 65: 9 Children 14 and under: 5 Number of multiple fatality incidents (MFI): 4 Total number of fatalities that occur in MFI:  11 2015 news media reported home fire fatalities all ages: 2289 Notes: Compiled by searching online news media sources for fire fatality-related stories. Data not reported by the media is not included. Find out more Media story links are now available for each fire. For information on specific incidents please go to our webpage Residential Fire Fatalities in the News.
