Joplin Man Indicted for Drugs, Firearm after Ramming into Police Vehicle

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Tammy Dickinson, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a Joplin, Mo., man was indicted by a federal grand jury today following a pursuit in which he rammed into a police vehicle.

Palos Hill Felon Charged with Illegally Possessing and Dealing Firearms; 10 Guns Seized

CHICAGO ― Ten assorted pistols, rifles, shotguns, and a revolver have been seized and a Palos Hills man is facing federal firearms charges as a result of an investigation led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Over the course of the investigation, the defendant illegally sold eight firearms to a confidential informant, and two additional firearms were seized from the defendant’s residence at the time of his arrest in March 2015.

Buffalo Man Pleads Guilty to Setting a Buffalo Business on Fire

BUFFALO, N.Y.-U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr. announced today that Ryan Smolinski, 26, of Buffalo, NY, pleaded guilty to arson of a commercial building before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
