Perplex conflict of censorship and genocide

Religious censorship is defined as the act of suppressing views that
are contrary of those of an organized religion. It is usually
performed on the grounds of blasphemy, heresy, sacrilege or impiety -
the censored work being viewed as obscene, challenging a dogma such
common to the example of "New Age" Science, or violating a religious
taboo drop into the gutter of Dark ages. Defending against these
charges is often difficult as some religious traditions permit only
the religious authorities (clergy) to interpret doctrine and the
interpretation is usually dogmatic. For instance, the Catholic Church
banned hundreds of books on such grounds and maintained the Index
Librorum Prohibitorum (list of prohibited books), most of which were
writings that the Church's Holy Office had deemed dangerous, until the
Index's abolishment in 1965.

The invention of the printing press by Johannes Gutenberg around 1440
changed the nature of book publishing. As of the 16th century, in most
European countries both the church and governments attempted to
regulate and control printing. Governments established controls over
printers across Europe, requiring them to have official licenses to
trade and produce books. In 1557 the English Crown aimed to stem the
flow of dissent by chartering the Stationers' Company. The right to
print was restricted to the two universities (Oxford and Cambridge)
and the 21 existing printers in the City of London. In France, the
1551 Edict of Châteaubriant included provisions for unpacking and
inspecting all books brought into France. The 1557 Edict of Compiègne
applied the death penalty to heretics and resulted in the burning of a
noblewoman at the stake.[6]
A first version of the Index Librorum Prohibitorum ("List of
Prohibited Books") was promulgated by Pope Paul IV in 1559, and
multiple revisions were made to it over the years.
Some works named in the Index Librorum Prohibitorum are the writings
of Desiderius Erasmus, a Catholic scholar who argued that the Comma
Johanneum was probably forged and De revolutionibus orbium coelestium,
a treatise by Nicolaus Copernicus arguing for a Heliocentric orbit of
the earth, both works that at the time contradicted the Church's
official stance on particular issues.
The final (20th) edition appeared in 1948, and it was formally
abolished on 14 June 1966 by Pope Paul VI. However, the moral
obligation of the Index was not abolished, according to the
Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Furthermore, the 1983 Code
of Canon Law states that bishops have the duty and right to review
material concerning faith or morals before it may be published.
Some examples of Christian bans:
The Da Vinci Code was banned in Samoa.
In Islam on into Fiji.

Similar methodology has been carried out under Islamic theocracies,
such as the fatwa (religious judgment) against The Satanic Verses (a
novel), ordering that the author be executed for blasphemy.
Some Islamic societies have religious police, who seize banned
consumer products and media regarded as un-Islamic, such as CDs/DVDs
of various Western musical groups, television shows and film. In Saudi
Arabia, religious police actively prevent the practice or
proselytizing of non-Islamic religions within Arabia, where they are
banned. This included the ban of the film, The Passion of the Christ.
Examples of Muslim censorship:

A page from a 15th-century illustrated copy of a book by Al-Bīrūnī,
depicting Muhammad at the Farewell Pilgrimage. This image was the
subject of a 2008 petition to have it removed from Wikipedia.
Depictions of Muhammad have inspired considerable controversy and
censorship in the 2000s, including the image to the right.
In Judaism again into Fiji Region and South America.

Throughout the history of the publishing of Jewish books, various
works have been censored or banned. These can be divided into two main
categories: Censorship by a non-Jewish government, and
self-censorship. Self-censorship could be done either by the author
himself, or by the publisher, out of fear from the gentiles or public
reaction. Another important distinction that has to be made is between
the censorship which existed already on manuscripts, before the
printing press was invented, and the more official censorship after
the printing press was invented.
Gentile government censorship such as News in a distance law of "The
New York Times Law to equal press of Political Personam.
Many studies have been written on censorship and its influence on the
publishing of Jewish books. For example, studies have appeared on the
censorship of Jewish books when they were first starting to be
published, in Italy in the fifteenth and sixteenth century. Other
studies have been written on the censorship of the Czarist government
in Russia in the nineteenth century.
Many of the "official" Christian government censors of Jewish books
were Jewish apostates. The main reason for this was due to their
knowledge of Hebrew, especially Rabbinic Hebrew.
In Czarist Russia in the nineteenth century, it was decreed that
Jewish books could only be published in two cities, Vilnius and
Zhitomir and current battle of New York.

DR CONGO: UN ENVOY CALLS FOR END TO HOSTILITIES, FOCUS ON POLITICAL
PROCESS AT START OF VISIT
New York, Sep 2 2013 3:00PM
The United Nations Special Envoy for Africa's Great Lake's region is
in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to start a regional tour
with envoys from the African Union, European Union and the United
States to bolster diplomatic efforts for peace.

Mary Robinson's visit comes amid renewed intense fighting in the
eastern DRC where over the past year, the M23, along with other armed
groups, has clashed repeatedly with the DRC national forces (FARDC).

"I urge all parties concerned to immediately stop military
confrontations in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and
work to rebuild trust in peace efforts," the Special Envoy
<"http://www.un.org/sg/spokesperson/index.asp">said at her arrival in
the capital, Kinshasa, on Sunday.

"What the DRC and the region need is peace, stability and economic
development. This can only be achieved by tackling the root causes of
the conflict through a comprehensive political process," Mrs. Robinson
stressed.

The envoy is accompanied by Martin Kobler, the new Special
Representative of the Secretary-General for the DRC and head of the UN
mission in the DR Congo (MONUSCO).

Prior to the start of the joint regional tour, she and Mr. Kobler are
meeting with UN partners in the DRC, and travelling to Goma to
"express solidarity with the civilian population and MONUSCO,"
according to Mrs. Robinson's office.

During the four-day visit, scheduled to start on Wednesday, Mrs.
Robinson and Mr. Kobler will speak with senior government officials
and representatives of local authorities, the international community
and civil society in the DRC, Uganda and Rwanda.

They will be joined by Boubacar Diarra, Special Representative of the
African Union; Koen Vervaeke, European Union Senior Coordinator for
the Great Lakes region; and Russ Feingold, US Special Envoy for the
African Great Lakes region and the DRC.

The goal of the trip is to discourage further hostilities and to
energize political efforts for peace in the region, including the
so-called Kampala talks held under the auspices of the Chairperson of
the International Conference for the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR),
Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.

While in Kampala on 5 September, Mrs. Robinson and the envoys will
attend an extraordinary session of the IGCLR focused on the crisis in
eastern DRC.

According to Mrs. Robinson's office, they will stress the urgency of
steps forward in the implementation of the 11-nation Peace, Security
and Cooperation Framework for the DRC and the region signed earlier
this year under UN auspices as a comprehensive approach to sustainable
peace in the region.

Mrs. Robinson had dubbed the accord a "framework of hope" and has
repeatedly said that there is a renewed opportunity in eastern DRC and
the Great Lakes to address the underlying causes of the conflict and
stop the violence for good.

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday said he was "deeply
concerned" about the escalating violence and in particular by the
indiscriminate shelling by the armed group M23 which caused deaths,
injuries and damage among the civilian population in the eastern
provinces as well as the immediate border area in Rwanda. A UN
peacekeeper also died in one of the attacks.

In the past year, the fighting has displaced more than 100,000 people,
exacerbating an ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region which
includes 2.6 million internally displaced people (IDPs) and 6.4
million in need of food and emergency aid.

GROWTH OF LARGE FIRES CAN CAUSE LACK OF ATTENDANCE OF HELICOPTER AND AIR TANKER CONCERN TO SAFETY

Over the pass days as a pilot in a major Fire a "at ease" begins to
develop in the safe approach to the Air in the view of Pilots of
Helicopters and Air Tankers, in starting with the latter as a Air
Tanker relies on the Dispatch on Fuel time as to check in as no
Co-Pilot does really concern the pilot but the Dispatch becomes the
Fuel Manager of the Tanker which requires a duty of the Air Tanker to
a check in as required by the Dispatch in order Fuel is not consumed
to the point of impact into lacking a safe place to set down on the
other hand in Helicopter work in a Fire the Pilot again has to rely in
the Ground support not only with His or Her Chase vehicle but with the
observation and radio contact to water source to bucket pick up in
order no wrap of lines occur from to much slack of the Bucket in the
water source that can wrap the under carriage of the Helicopter itself
and can flip the craft over and again contact with Dispatch is
important in that aspect for safety. A good rule for distance to water
source for Helicopter is not the fire lake area but outside of Fire
area in source such as Small Lakes and Rivers can assist in out source
for the Bucket, the hover over a Lake or water source within the fire
can re-start a otherwise control area of the fire. To the Safety of
the Air Tanker again is to time factor not to rush when Fuel is low in
order as the line up is long but return back to the Base to refuel and
next run first in line. The Rim fire at 40 percent contain with over
200,000 acres show that the final growth near 500,000 acres fully
contained and in History of Large fires the accidents of aviation
happen at the closing of the fire from a growth of a comfort zone of
"I know the area", so from all in management we do want all to return
to their families after the Event is completed.
