Centered around the centennial anniversary of America's National Park Service in 2016, the exhibit celebrates the important role that the visual image has played in the history and creation of our national parks. The core of this exhibit is the timeless black and white photography of American photographer Mark Burns. These photographs were taken from 2011 through 2015 with one iconic photograph from each of America's 59 national parks. A portion of this exhibit will also pay tribute to early painters and photographers. "The National Parks Photography Project" will be on display in the Ansary Gallery of American History beginning November 30, 2015, through March 21, 2016. For more information, visit bush41.org

Party like it's…1799! In this hands-on program, visitors will discover what it was like to grow up at different times in American history. Guests can participate in a costume runway show featuring traditional-style dress from the Colonial and Civil War eras, and try their hand at once-popular games like hoop-and-stick.
Colonial Dress-up and Photo Opportunities
10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Grand Hall Lobby
A great photo-op for the whole family, visitors can dress in replicas of traditional-style attire from the Colonial era and pose will likeness of the Continental Army's greatest heroes.
Craft and Activity Stations

Create tri-corn hats, founding father portraits and other historical flare at our craft tables, then try your hand at Hoop-and-Stick, Graces, Nine Pin, and other popular games played by children in Revolutionary America.

HONOLULU — Coast Guard and fire department crews ended their search for a missing free diver following the recovery of a body offshore Papohaku Beach, Molokai, Sunday.
At 10:30 a.m., a body matching the description of Steven Likua was located and recovered by dive crews with the Molokai Fire Department.
The body was turned over to city officials and positive identification was made.
Assets that participated in the search were USCGC Kittiwake, an HC-130 Hercules airplane crew and MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Barbers Point. The Molokai Fire Department searched with a rescue boat, divers, jet skis and a helicopter.
"Our condolences go out to the family and friends for their tragic loss," said Chief Petty Officer Jerrod Sneller, command duty officer at Coast Guard Sector Honolulu.
Watchstanders at the sector received a report of the missing free diver at 6:21 p.m. Saturday, from Maui Dispatch. The watchstanders immediately issued the UMIB, launched the Dolphin crew and dispatched the Kittiwake crew.
