Search for missing diver ends following body recovery near Molokai 12/20/2015 09:16 PM EST HONOLULU — Coast Guard and fire department crews ended their search for a missing free diver following the recovery of a body offshore Papohaku Beach, Molokai, Sunday. At 10:30 a.m., a body matching the description of Steven Likua was located and recovered by dive crews with the Molokai Fire Department. The body was turned over to city officials and positive identification was made. Assets that participated in the search were USCGC Kittiwake, an HC-130 Hercules airplane crew and MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Barbers Point. The Molokai Fire Department searched with a rescue boat, divers, jet skis and a helicopter. "Our condolences go out to the family and friends for their tragic loss," said Chief Petty Officer Jerrod Sneller, command duty officer at Coast Guard Sector Honolulu.  Watchstanders at the sector received a report of the missing free diver at 6:21 p.m. Saturday, from Maui Dispatch.
