.A SUBTROPICAL AIR MASS WILL LINGER OVER SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
TODAY...WITH ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE OVER THE
MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN AND FLASH FLOODING AS WELL AS STRONG
AND GUSTY WINDS.

COACHELLA VALLEY...RIVERSIDE COUNTY MOUNTAINS...SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTY MOUNTAINS...SAN DIEGO COUNTY DESERTS AND SAN DIEGO
COUNTY MOUNTAINS.

* FROM NOON PDT TODAY THROUGH THIS EVENING.

* HEAVY RAINFALL RATES AND RAPID RUNOFF...ESPECIALLY OVER AND
DOWN STREAM OF RECENTLY BURNED AREAS.

* FOR RECENT BURN AREAS...IN ADDITION TO FLASH FLOODING...EVEN
LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINFALL CAN PRODUCE MUD AND DEBRIS FLOWS.
